Spring Concert: The Gates of Morning
“The Gates of Morning” is composed by Charlotte native Dan Locklair, arguably the most famous composer of this region. And yet, concert-goers would be hard pressed to name a single work emanating from his pen. Contemporary, yes. Listenable and lyrical? Certainly! Also works by Palestrina, Schutz, Rutter, Wilberg and more.
