About Us

Founded in 2002, Renaissance is a select group of about three dozen singers committed to presenting high-quality choral music to Charlotte and the surrounding region.  The group sings short-form classical music from all periods and genres.

We invite you to join us for our 2014-2015 season as we again draw from the vast treasure of great choral literature. Our trio of concerts spans more than 500 years of music written for the choral instrument, and there will be music to please every palate. As always, our aim is to present to the Charlotte region the very best choral literature performed to an exacting standard. If you love the sound of voices lifted in beautiful harmony, come and join our musical journey and let the music take you to a place you otherwise could not go. We do it LIVE!

Our next concert:

Christmas in the City
We will once again celebrate the season with and evening filled with Yuletide favorites including O Magnum Mysterium by Lauridsen, Wassail Song of Gloucestershire arr. by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Noel We Sing by Louis-Claude Daquin and Tomorrow Shall be my Dancing Day by John Gardner, in addition to works by Bach, Rutter and Goldschmidt. We will again invite you to join your voices with ours as great carols lift spirits and warm our hearts.
